Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: How do you paint kitchen cabinets?

A: There are 2 ways to paint cabinets: by hand or via spray gun. Our team is proficient in both systems, but we have mastered the art of spraying cabinetry for a flawless finish.

Q: Do you need to remove the cabinets to complete a spray job?

A: We usually take the doors and faces off kitchen cabinets, so we can bring them to our shop to spray. This way we have no damage to surrounding areas in your kitchen, minimize odor, and allow you full use of your kitchen while we complete the work.

Q: Hand paint vs. spray?

A: Spraying cabinets produces and cleaner and smoother finish, while hand painting delivers a more traditional finish on your kitchen. More and more of our customers have opted for a spray finish

Q: Can you spray with regular paint, or do you need a special product?

A: We primarily spray with Acrylic Eurethane paints, lacquers, and shellacs. Many of the products we spray with are specifically designed to be applied via spray gun to achieve a smooth finish, such as Benjamin Moore’s Cabinet Coat.

Q: I don’t like my knobs and handles. Can your team install new hardware?

A: New hardware is a great way to update the look & feel of your drawers and cabinets, for minimal cost. We can also save your current hardware for re-installation after our painters finish their work.

Q: Can you do touch ups on a spray job?

A: Absolutely! Our team of professionals can color match your cabinets to find the exact shade, and use expert techniques to sand, repair, paint, and finish a cabinet that has minor chipping.

Q: What is your lead time for kitchen cabinet spray jobs?

A: We are usually booked 2-4 weeks in advance. Our shop can handle 2 separate spray jobs at a time. The best time to get your kitchen painted is the winter, when we have better availability and the best rates.
